A coffee date
Today was another coffee date with my mom before she’s back being a busy bee. We wanted to check out a little coffee shop called Day After. I keep seeing the place every time I go to the bank. It’s a cute little coffee shop with a view of a busy main street. However, when we arrived at the place it was closed. So, we ended up visiting a place called Epidemi Coffee.
We stood up more than 20 minutes only to figure out where to go and I ended up placing my bet on Epidemi coffee which is another 10 minutes ride. We came with zero expectations on how the place would look like or the coffee taste.
After waiting for more than 20 minutes, we finally got the ride and went to the place. It was located on an uncrowded street that is next to a small private hospital. The building is an old house turned into a coffee shop. It's common in my hometown where people turn an old house into a coffee shop filled with plants and succulents. I have gone to about a few places with similar themes, only this was a bit more proper.
By that I mean, the seats and the painting were all aesthetic. The chairs were simple and mostly a combination of metal and wood interior. Then my mom said, “ huh, we can maybe do something like this.” She referred to the old house and how it was just basically holes in the wall but we could make something more aesthetic. And I replied, “ but that’s not going to be different than all these places we’ve visited”.
Not to mention when I started spotting the sockets, I knew that I instantly loved this place. This is a place where I can comfortably work from without worrying of low battery or not enough socket power.
As we got to the counter, we ordered summer float and palm sugar coffee. I initially wanted to order Iced Cubed Coconut coffee which in mind would be so amazing. It would come in cubes and it would have a nice taste of coconut milk with coffee.
Aesthetic place
While waiting for the coffee, I decided to take pictures of mom and the surrounding. You can see below the pictures and the corners of this place that are aesthetic. I especially love the paintings as they also come with motivational funny quotes. Not to mention after that, I tried inviting my cousins cause I was ecstatic about this finding.
The hangout place for cool kids
According to my cousins this place is where all the cool kid in town hangout. At evening is the time where all these kids gather and making the place crowded. My cousins told me that it would be so humid and filled with vape or cigarettes smokes. So, he thinks it won’t be too pleasant for me to visit during the evening. But since two of them couldn’t make it, I ended up staying with my mom who then had to go first.
My verdict
Before she was about to go to her friend’s wedding, our order came. The summer float as you can see below is phenomenal. It tastes like raspberry with ice cream. Honestly I tasted vodka mix max blue but I am not certain if that’s what they serve, alcohol. I mean, that would be nice but I didn’t think that was the case. The coffee was as phenomenal as the summer float. The espresso wasn’t that strong or weak, it was just enough to give me energy boost without excessive crash. Overall, this coffee shop would be rated higher on my list.
Inside the cafe, I took some time to reflect on my life and my plans. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my journal because that place was a perfect spot to journal and make plans for the future. It was that kind of place where it would be great to work from, just a mixture of everything with enough background noise to keep me focused for an hour or two.
