Hi, coffee lovers, and Happy New Year!
You may want to joins us for #thecoffeeshopprompt #46. Just clicj on the link ☕️
As a good myopic, I like light. I'd prefer dimly lit environments if I was dancing, but if I'm going to drink--or eat--something, I want to see it clearly. Also, if I'm going to have a conversation, it-s important for me to see people's faces and expressions. My eyesight issue is just a problem to see from far away, but if I have the chance to see you up close, I, as a good witch, can even read your thoughts, hehe, but only if I can see you well, under a good light.
So witch and all, I prefer well-lit coffee shops.
The café where I usually go, La Panetteria is in a mall that is excellently lit as you can see.
I'm not going to lie, I can't stay there for more than two hours without my eyes missing the warm light of my home. White lights can be quite irritating. Plus, now that the interior of the café has been redecorated, everything is so, so orange that come on._
Anyway, I still prefer to get a good look at the coffee I'm drinking.
Good light allows us to take a good look of all the products offered at the coffee shop.
The place is not that big, but thanks to the good lighting, some mirrors and glass, it looks more spacious. The colors that reflect the light a lot or a little also influence the atmosphere. Here the orange color is evident; the vibe is electrifying. I think everyone gets in a good mood in here, even me with my eyes hurting because of so much orangeness, hehe.
A little less light in this café would not be bad at all. Certainly, these days all the place is more illuminated because of the Christmas lights and other bright decorations.
By the way, these decorations and the rest of them throughout the town will probably remain up for a couple of weeks after Three Kings Day (Jan.6) until January 22nd, as we celebrate the Day of "Santa Inés," Patrón Saint of Cumaná, on the 21st. Therefore, there will be plenty of light in most of the city's busiest cafes this days.
Yesterday I met at La Panetteria coffee shop for a gift exchange with my sisters, niece and nephew, and I was able to take some pictures where you can see the good lighting of the place--plus the orangey orange 🍊 that seemed to make everyone happy.
Because of the good light, you can see well one of the gifts I got: my niece drew my cats on a bag for me: from left to right, Canela, Charlie (our guest cat)...
...Horacia, Flecha, and Lady Mocaccino (who lives with my dad).
Next to my new and now favorite bag is my new mug 👆 one of those every myopic witch must have. This mug became my favorite as soon as I saw it through the cellophane ❤️
My nephew gave us all beautiful mugs because we're all coffee lovers--and cat lovers.
My sisters' mugs have cat decorations;
The cats that should've been on my mug are at home, next to my supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
moka pots, my magic cauldron and my flying broom.
