Hey, coffee community, how are you? It’s been a while since I last wrote here, but I was quite busy during the previous weeks. The last week of june I and my family had our seaside vacation on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. This year we decided to visit again the hotel that we were staying at in 2023, because it was just brilliant. Cleanliness is at excellent levels, food is awesome and this is maybe the most important thing when we travel with the kids.
Of course, when I travel, coffee brewing gear and tasty coffee is a must in our luggage. I have shared a lot of times with you that AeroPress is the gadget that is always with us. The coffee scale and the manual grinder are also crucial and of course, fine coffee!
We needed some good coffee for our trip in the car too, and we took the leftover coldbrew from the refrigerator. Hot coffee, put in a metal thermos has the great ability to oxidize relatively fast and becomes not so good, and thats where cold coffee has its advantage.
Another reason to choose this hotel is that we need about 2 hours and a half to reach it, which is one of the closest seaside points to us. The little fellows become very nervous when they are in car more than 2-3 hours. And for our luck, they fell asleep quite fast, so we traveled in gread piece.
The coffee that we picked this time, specially for our trip was purchased with 15% discount, because it was the last one from the DAK roasters in the shop. Anyway, I have tried it before too, and it was very tasty.
Sadly, this time I did not take any photos of the brewing process and the AeroPress… I was focussed on taking photos on my kids, because last year I took a lot of photos of the hotel itself. But, trust me, twice every day I was brewing my coffee on the AeroPress. It was the far better option than the Lavazza pods… 😁
My wife make a coffee from them and she wasnt able to finish it. Thats because of our exquisite taste and snobby preference towards the specialty coffee. 😂
So the first coffee was already brewed. It was time to take some photos of our cups at least… And of course, we could enjoy our drinks in the cool room, with the comfort of AC, but we are on the seaside after all…
And look at the view out of our terrace…
Every year we choose a room with seaside view and of course, the terrace is a must! And every single coffee was enjoyed there.
I and my wife weren’t the only ones to enjoy the views. The little princess was amazed by the views too, checking what’s going on around the pools, on the bars and in the restaurants. All the little fellows were enjoying our stay happily, and the company of fresh ground coffee, tasting of fresh grapes and sweet caramel was just making the situation even better.
Now, our vacation is already over, but mentally we are still there. Maybe next year will come a little bit quicker and we will visit our favorite hotel again. But until then it is time for some hard work and family duties… Back to reality…
That’s fir today… see you again soon.
Wish you a pleasant week and a lot of tasty cups of coffee!
Bye!
