Today I want to share with you the experience of discovering a new taste of the best elixir of life: coffee. It all started when I had to leave for downtown to run some errands, after two months of absence out of town. The night before, a toothache kept me awake, so I contacted my dentist, who recommended an antibiotic and a panoramic x-ray to evaluate the situation of the affected tooth.

I left home around 8:30 in the morning with my husband to have the test done. When I arrived at the place, I was attended to immediately; I only waited about 10 minutes and that was it. Then, we went to Farmatodo, one of the best franchises in Venezuela, to buy the antibiotic and some personal products.

Upon arrival, I felt comfortable, as the place was not that crowded at that hour. We relaxed and began our search for the products we needed to resume our trip to another city. It was then that I remembered that there was no coffee left at home. Friends, missing food is one thing, but coffee... ha, ha, ha! It may sound crazy, but when I don't have my elixir of life, I get really cranky and no one tolerates me at home.

And not only me; my son shares my addiction to coffee. We don't just drink a small cup and that's it; we have big cups with the same reasons to enjoy these hours of pleasure together. When I reached the aisle where the coffees were, I immediately took the patroness brand. However, I felt a call to turn around and look at the other brands of coffee that were there.

I began to enjoy all those coffees I had in sight, and one that especially caught my curiosity was a coffee called San Domingo. Its packaging is very striking, with a golden color and a red stripe in the middle where the name of the brand is indicated. When I read it, I was impressed to learn that it is a coffee made here in my country, Venezuela, and that it is gourmet. When I smelled it, I was impregnated with a special aroma. So I said to myself: "Militza, let's try this new brand", because its aroma really captivated me. This presentation I chose is 200 grams.

We left there and headed for the city center. We spent the whole morning catching up with the pending things, but my mind only kept repeating one thing: I want to get home, because the aroma of the coffee had me crazy and I couldn't wait to try it. At 11:30 in the morning, we set out on our way back home, and when we arrived, the first thing I did was to drop the bags, take out the new coffee and prepare the water, waiting for it to boil before brewing it in my cloth strainer.

I have always maintained that this is the best freshly brewed coffee. As I began to brew it, the aroma it gave off was absolutely wonderful; a smell so authentic that it permeated my entire home. My mom and son were fascinated and eager to try this new addition. Once served, I added a spoonful of sugar, and upon taking the first sip, it tasted like glory. Its taste exceeded my expectations: it was well concentrated and its aroma would catch even a non-coffee drinker. I set out to taste my coffee, sip by sip, while I prepared lunch.

¡Saludos, amantes del café! ☕💖

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la experiencia de descubrir un nuevo sabor del mejor elixir de la vida: el café. Todo comenzó cuando debía salir al centro de la ciudad para realizar algunas diligencias, tras dos meses de ausencia fuera de la ciudad. La noche anterior, un dolor de muela me tuvo despierta, así que contacté a mi odontóloga, quien me recomendó un antibiótico y una radiografía panorámica para evaluar la situación de la pieza afectada.

Salí de casa alrededor de las 8:30 de la mañana junto a mi esposo para realizarme el estudio. Al llegar al lugar, fui atendida de inmediato; solo esperé unos 10 minutos y listo. Luego, tomamos rumbo a Farmatodo, una de las mejores franquicias que existen en Venezuela, para comprar el antibiótico y algunos productos personales.

Al llegar, me sentí cómoda, ya que el lugar no estaba tan concurrido a esa hora. Nos relajamos y comenzamos nuestra búsqueda de los productos que necesitábamos para retomar el viaje a otra ciudad. Fue entonces cuando recordé que ya no quedaba café en casa. ¡Amigos, que falte comida es una cosa, pero café... ja, ja, ja! Puede sonar una locura, pero cuando no tengo mi elixir de vida, me pongo de muy mal humor y nadie me tolera en casa.

Y no solo yo; mi hijo comparte mi adicción al café. No somos de tomarnos una tazita pequeña y ya; tenemos tazas grandes con los mismos motivos para disfrutar juntos de estas horas de placer. Al llegar al pasillo donde estaban los cafés, de inmediato tomé la marca la patrona. Sin embargo, sentí un llamado a voltear y observar las otras marcas de café que estaban allí.

Comencé a disfrutar de todos esos cafés que tenía a la vista, y uno que llamó especialmente mi curiosidad fue un café llamado San Domingo. Su empaquetado es muy llamativo, con un color dorado y una franja roja en el medio donde se indica el nombre de la marca. Al leer, me impresionó saber que es un café elaborado aquí en mi país, Venezuela, y que es tipo gourmet. Al olerlo, quedé impregnada de un aroma especial. Así que me dije: "Militza, vamos a probar esta nueva marca", porque su aroma realmente me cautivó. Esta presentación que elegí es de 200 gramos.

Salimos de allí rumbo al centro de la ciudad. Pasamos toda la mañana poniéndonos al día con los pendientes, pero mi mente solo repetía una cosa: ya quiero llegar a casa, porque el aroma del café me tenía loca y no podía esperar para probarlo. A las 11:30 de la mañana, emprendimos el camino de regreso a nuestro hogar, y al llegar, lo primero que hice fue soltar las bolsas, sacar el nuevo café y preparar el agua, esperando a que hirviera para colarlo en mi colador de tela.

Siempre he sostenido que este es el mejor café recién colado. Al comenzar a colarlo, el aroma que desprendía era absolutamente maravilloso; un olor tan auténtico que se impregnó en todo mi hogar. Mi mamá y mi hijo estaban fascinados y ansiosos por probar esta nueva adquisición. Una vez servido, añadí una cucharada de azúcar, y al tomar el primer sorbo, me supo a gloria. Su sabor superó mis expectativas: estaba bien concentrado y su aroma atraparía incluso a quien no toma café. Me dispuse a degustar mi café, sorbo a sorbo, mientras preparaba el almuerzo.
