Hello community of Cinnamon Cup Coffe!
Answering this week's prompt.
I could say that I found my safe place...
*There are moments in life that don't need to be noisy to be important. Lately, I've realized that "home" isn't always four walls and a roof; sometimes it's just a feeling. I found that peace recently, sitting in a coffee shop with my friends, and to answer this week's challenge, I want to share that exact moment where time simply stood still.
Feeling at Home
The first thing that captivated me about the place was that it didn't feel cluttered, but rather like my own home. It was full of lush, green plants that seemed to breathe with the place. Being surrounded by so much nature, even though we were indoors, gave me incredible tranquility. It also had warm yellow lighting that added a magical touch. My friends were there, deep in a lively conversation, laughing and telling stories. But instead of interrupting, I remained silent for a moment. It wasn't that I was bored; I was simply enjoying seeing them and being there; we hadn't seen each other in a while.
The Light of Sunset The real magic arrived as the sun began to set. That afternoon light bathed everything in a warm, intense yellow. The glow filtered through the leaves of the plants and fell directly onto my coffee cup. In that instant, I felt a shift within me. I realized that I don't always need to be "doing something" or rushing around to feel alive.
- I don’t have a picture of my other friend but watching the sunset while my friends chatted was more than enough. It was a reminder that I'm exactly where I need to be. Later, I joined the conversation, and we started talking about how the cappuccinos were.*
The sound of spoons clinking, the soft voices in the background, and that aroma of coffee mixed with damp earth... everything felt like I belonged there. We must cherish these warm moments above all else.
Sometimes, the best way to move forward is to stay still for a moment, breathe, and enjoy a good coffee as the sun disappears.
