A coffee on honey | The Coffee Shop Prompt Week 149 [EN-ES]

Hello coffee lovers!

It's a pleasure to share this first coffee of the year from a place I just discovered yesterday, New Year's Day.

Hive account@cinnccf invites us once again to reflect on the experience of sitting in a tranquil coffee shop, focusing on the sensory details: the aroma, the warmth of the cup, and the atmosphere, emphasizing the simple pleasure of taking a moment to pause and observe the world as we begin the new year.

I confess I'm writing this a day after visiting this coffee shop and after the #CinnamonCupCoffee initiative was launched.

I just took a shower and I'm getting ready to go to my son's house because it's his birthday today. Before I go, while rereading Hive account@cinnccf's call for entries for this week, I'll take the opportunity to share yesterday's experience with you, how I felt, and some of the thoughts I tried to focus on.

I was coming from my son's house yesterday and heading to another place where I was expected. My eyes caught sight of this facade and my attention lingered. Zoet, a café, with other offerings that seemed interesting, made me decide to go in, sit down, and enjoy something new to me.

With a classic interior design, welcoming us in light and pleasant tones, the moment evoked Hive and those regular communities where we share some shade or reflection.

I ordered a first coffee. Espresso, nice and strong, really delicious, the best I'd had in a long time.

#Hive is back in my mind! Look. No sugar, as is typical in Cuba. The coffee comes with a glass jar, shaped like a beehive, filled with honey. Inside, another fantastic detail: a wooden piece that mimics the nature of bees, used to scoop the honey. This element perfectly complements what we're talking about and made me smile when I imagined writing these words.

The quality of the honey is sublime, ideal for sweetening this strong Cuban coffee that embraces the container with its frothy essence.

When I arrived, the place was empty. A very attentive young woman greeted me. It was my first visit, and everything felt new.

There was no music, only stillness. I drank two cups of coffee because time seemed to stand still as I tried to forget what was troubling me.

I tried hard to think about other things, even trivialities...

I couldn't write anything beyond my pain, so I decided to burn the paper.

I looked at another blank sheet of paper, sighed, and tried to think about the desire for light, smiles, embraces, the right to be happy, love... to reach everyone in this world of ours as they deserve and long for.

So I prefer to say goodbye for now, not thinking of myself but of my wish that this year brings you all what you need while you smile with delight over a delicious, freshly brewed coffee.

Es un placer para mí compartir este primer café del año justo desde un sitio que acabo de descubrir ayer, primer día del año.

Hive account@cinnccf nos vuelve a invitar a reflexionar sobre la experiencia de sentarnos en una cafetería con clima de tranquilidad, centrarnos en los detalles sensoriales: el aroma, la calidez de la taza y la atmósfera, enfatizando el simple placer de tomarnos un momento para detenernos y observar el mundo al comenzar el nuevo año.

Confieso que redacto estas letras un día después de visitar esta cafetería y de haber salido publicada la iniciativa de #CinnamonCupCoffee.

Acabo de tomar un baño, me alisto para ir a casa de mi hijo pues es su cumpleaños hoy. Antes, al releer esta convocatoria de Hive account@cinnccf para esta semana, aprovecharé para compartir con ustedes la experiencia de ayer, el cómo me sentí y parte de los pensamientos que en que intenté enfocarme.

Venía ayer precisamente de casa de mi hijo y me dirigía a otro sitio donde me esperaban. Mis ojos repararon en esta fachada y mi atención se detuvo. Zoet, una cafetería, con otras ofertas que me resultaron interesantes, hicieron posible que decidiera entrar, sentarme y disfrutar de lo novedoso para mí.

Con un diseño interior clásico, que nos recibe en tonos claros y agradables, el momento nos evocaba a Hive y aquellas comunidades asiduas donde compartimos alguna que otra sombra o reflejo.

Pedí un primer café. Expreso, bien fuerte, realmente delicioso, como hacía tiempo no lo bebía.

¡Hive a mi mente otra vez! Vean. Nada de azúcar, como es cotidiano en Cuba. El café viene acompañado de un pomo de cristal, que nos evoca la forma de una colmena, con miel. Dentro, otro detalle fantástico. Para tomar la miel, una pieza de madera que simula la naturaleza de las abejas. Elemento en sintonía con lo que estamos hablando y que me hizo sonreír cuando imaginé redactar estas palabras.

La calidad de la miel, sublime, ideal para endulzar a este fuerte café cubano que abraza al recipiente con su espumosa esencia.

Cuando llegué, estaba vacío el recinto. Me atendió una chica muy atentamente. Era mi primera visita y todo me resultaba novedoso.

No había música, solo quietud. Tomé en total dos tazas de café porque el tiempo parecía detenerse mientras intentaba difuminar lo que me entristece.

Puse mucho empeño en pensar en otras cosas, en banalidades incluso...

No fui capaz de escribir más allá de mi dolor y decidí quemar el papel.

Miré a otra hoja en blanco, suspiré y quise pensar entonces en el deseo de que la luz, la sonrisa, el abrazo, el derecho a ser feliz, el amor... lleguen a todos en este mundo nuestro como merecen y anhelan....

Así prefiero despedirme por ahora, no pensar en mí sino en el deseo de que este año, a ustedes, les traiga lo que necesitan mientras sonríen en el deleite de un exquisito café recién hecho.
