Good Morning all you Coffee Lovers
This morning is my last day of responsibilities concerning paying the guys so my trusty secretary, Jocelyn, rushed out to get my stanley flask filled with black liquid gold before we get all the pay slips done.
I have very little responsibilties left to hand over and as it has been so quiet it has easily been the easiest handover ever. I've enjoyed it and had plenty of time to organise my things back home. I do still have a bit more to do at home though but very little left at work.
Layla will miss me and as I am not here as frequently she's started to try and talk to me when I arrive back at the shop. She senses something and i think she knows I am about to leave. Doesn't she look sad?
As I sip my coffee and watch the crew working on one of our boats I am struck by how I feel none of the usual stress and worry about maintenance, schedules, boookings and timetables that would usually have filled my day. I am digging the freedom and relishing what is to come. It's an exciting time now as I look forward to having my morning coffee in a drastically different and ever changing environment. Not long to go now.
So I think I'll take a wander down to smooth for a refill and some hummus and flatbread before i venture my way back home to continue with all the clearing of the house.
