When it comes to beverages... half of my heart belongs to coffee, of course, and the other half to tea. And although the taste of coffee fascinates me, I probably drink more cups of tea than coffee during the day. You may wonder why, and the answer is very simple: in tea I get a great variety of flavors and I have discovered that there are many that I like! The cover photo is from today and precisely this cup of tea made me feel inspired to tell you a little more about this pleasure of mine, for The Coffee Shop Prompt: 3
I have been drinking tea for more than 10 years. At first it was just a habit that I established in my life because of all the benefits that I discovered at that time that this drink has. Over time it has become my "comfort drink", if I'm stressed I drink a chamomile tea, if I'm hungry I drink a green tea, if something hurts I drink a mint tea 😆, and finally, if I'm bored I can also drink a tea.
Hibiscus tea is one of my favorites, I love its characteristic flavor and the color of this drink. I prefer to prepare it with the natural leaves, however, I don't always get them. In any case, I prepare a big pot of this drink and keep it in the fridge to consume it with meals or after exercising, as it is very refreshing. The following photograph was taken in my kitchen, when the water of the Hibiscus tea was boiling. I found this picture very beautiful and artistic. Preparing tea is almost a ritual for me.
When I arrived in Colombia I decided that I would try more flavors of tea (here there are combinations of herbs and fruits of every kind you can imagine). The first one I tried different from the usual ones was a Jasmine flavored green tea. I can tell you that the taste is a bit astringent, but I liked it, even though it is not my favorite. One great thing was that I was able to practice my French (a language I study from time to time) as all the words on the box were in this language: "Thé Vert. Saveur Jasmin "😂
I also tried a chamomile, cinnamon and apple tea. What a crazy taste! I was immediately transported back to my childhood and an apple flavored drink that I consumed before bedtime when I was a baby 😳 it was such a nice memory!
Lately I've been obsessed with the brand "Bitaco" because the presentation of the teas is amazing, and they make me feel a different and sophisticated experience, something to get out of my daily tea routine. So far I have tried two flavors: "Dragon Fruit", a mix of white tea, pineapple and pitahaya and "Green tea Matcha Lulo", im sure you can imagine this flavor by the name.
Probably one of the most outstanding features of these teas that I have tasted lately is the tea bags. A detail that at first glance may seem insignificant, but it is quite the opposite. A sachet that looks like silk and adds a little extra to my cup of tea. I liked how it looked so much, and so out of the ordinary, that I decided to take a picture of it.
What can I tell you, I am a tea girl! and I will dedicate myself to try all possible flavors and combinations because it makes me so happy. I swear, I love my morning coffee, but then I spend the rest of the day fantasizing about coming home and having a cup of tea. I just wonder... Who wouldn't love a warm, colorful, distinctive flavored beverage that we can pair with any meal/snack?
