What's up, Hivers! How have you all been doing? I hope you are doing good. For this blog, let me share how my Monday went and how we went out to try the newest coffee shop in town.
It all started when our results for the removal exam in Virology came out. I was one of the students who did not fortunately pass the subject but it was a good thing our professor gave us a second chance by giving us a removal exam. Fortunately, I passed the exam! I even surpassed the passing score with 7 points, I got 47/60 with the passing score of 40 set by my professor.
To celebrate our small wins, my friends and I decided to check out the newest coffee shop in town, the S & R cafe. It was in front of the Petron gasoline station in San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur. They have a good location just along the road where everyone can see it. For sure, many people have already been curious about it and what their offers are and have already checked them out.
We first ordered our drinks before we settled in. Of course, a study session in a cafe would not be complete without drinks, right? For myself, I got a 16-ounce iced cappuccino and for my friends, they ordered a sea salt latte. They also offer rice meals and finger foods.
I'd say that their pricing is just midrange compared to other coffee shops that are known. To think that they pay rent and other stuff, they even offer free wifi. Good news for students like me who are studying and need an internet connection.
With the coffee shop's location, interior design, and service, I highly recommend the place for individuals who need a quiet place to work. Because even though they are located along the road, it is still quiet.
Now, to rate my overall experience with S & R cafe's service and for their beverage...
I would rate my drink a 7.5/10 because the coffee tasted bland unlike how I expected it to have an intense coffee flavor and creamier. I guess, the drink just lacks coffee. Not a coffee expert though but I know what my coffee should be supposed to taste like.
Look at that long stretch of space. I also love how the natural light just enters the place.
Great thing that they have this. This is a nice way to give back to their customers!
For the place, I would rate it a solid 10/10 because it feels like an open concept design. They also have a huge seating capacity to accommodate large groups and also a nook for solo individuals. The place is also air conditioned good for the hot weather here in Bicol.
They also have board games which I appreciate a lot. Because oftentimes. coffee shops wouldn't think of having it for they would think coffee shop goers will just study and chill. It's a 10/10 for me.
All in all, it was a nice experience for me and my friends. I would highly recommend that place for students and also, will come back again.
