Morning walk with the little lady
Earlier this week, I discovered a "fruteria" where I wanted to have a look because I was curious if this was a more expensive store or not because I didn't check anything other than the regular supermarkets so far. I decided to go and have a look the next morning, which would also give us the opportunity to have a walk to another part of the town where we didn't walk so far. My boyfriend could not join because it was a working day and during the mornings he's usually too busy so having breakfast outside or a walk is not possible during these hours. So it was just me and the lady this time.
Breakfast before or after?
I asked her "Do you want to have breakfast here at the usual place or walk to the store first and see what kind of new places we may discover?". She wanted to walk there first. We agreed if we wouldn't see any other options that we would sit here across the street on our way back home. I was hoping to discover a few more cafeterias to check out today and later this week, but we actually didn't. What we did find was one grill restaurant which we may check out before we leave and also two tapas bars, one looked SUPER cool, so that went on our "to-do list" for later.
The walk to the fruteria
It was actually a good walk as in the morning apparently the shade was exactly on the side where we were walking, making it a very pleasant walk. There was just one little part where there was no sidewalk for pedestrians because the house built there was wider than the rest, very strange, especially because the walk around it would mean a longer walk, but while walking there (the locals did the same) people were still honking, you'd think they know the situation and not bother to honk. Some art I found on the way:
And a little further I took a few other pictures:
This last one is a place I hope we can check out before we leave but if not, we will have a van at our disposal for a little longer so we might just end up driving here for it. Otherwise, it means we have plenty of other options to choose from, which is even better!
A nice store
I did not take pictures of the actual store, looking back I could have because it was a nice store but I think a little overpriced. So, unfortunately, not really worth the walk. I did take a few items with us so our walk wasn't in vain. At least we explored a nice walk to another side of the town, so that counts for sure.
Breakfast on our way back
We sat down across the street where we had tapas and breakfast before. My daughter wanted a peach juice and croissant:
I ordered myself a coffee and toast with peach jam.
Again, simplicity does the trick! Something I've learned many times already while being here. The little things that make me smile from ear to ear. This little walking trip and having breakfast was a nice mommy-daughter moment. When I wanted to leave she asked if we could stay a little longer, and so we did.
I'm sure we will have plenty of these mommy-daughter moments during the rest of the summer period.
Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!
