Greetings to all who give life through the delights of different coffees in this beautiful community.
Here I bring you one of my many experiences with coffee.
At the time of the pandemic, coffee became quite scarce, it was very difficult to get it in supermarkets and the cost rose in an exaggerated way, when you found a coffee in any establishment one was impressed with its high price.
There was no choice but to buy the one you got, you could not choose the one of your preference, you could only buy the cheapest you could find and the truth is that I had some unpleasant moments with a few of them.
On one occasion, walking along a boulevard in the city of Caracas/Venezuela, I saw a very large sign, promoting a coffee called "Venezuela", I was struck by the number of people that were around that place, there were many with red shirts and several girls handing out black coffee already made in disposable cups to be tasted.
I got a little closer and the first thing I saw was a big sign that said "MADE IN SOCIALISM", and there I realized that this show was sponsored by the government, so I didn't trust it and I left the place ( course, I didn't try it).
I went home and told a neighbor what I had witnessed on that boulevard and she confirmed that yes, that coffee was Bolivarian, made in revolution; what I replied was: "I wouldn't even buy that coffee, since everything that comes from the government is unreliable. She just smiled, we said goodbye and each one of us went back to her apartment.
Time has passed and the different brands of coffee are now available in all supermarkets, so we can choose the one we like the most.
But I tell you that yesterday, I woke up like every day with the illusion of preparing my delicious black coffee to drink before breakfast, and my surprise was that I did not have a single gram of coffee in my pantry, it almost gave me something, and with this tasty cold that already invades us by the entrance of Christmas.
I took a shower and went immediately to the supermarket, I had more than 3 months without buying coffee, since the last time I bought it in large quantities to be quiet for a long time, (that's why I was confident that I still had it saved).
When I arrived at the supermarket there was coffee of all kinds and all the brands you could want, but when I saw the prices my dear friends, I wanted to die and the worst of it all is that I didn't have enough money to buy even the smallest package of one of my favorites.
I was about to cry, and guess what? I saw the "Venezuela" coffee I told you about in the beginning and I had no choice but to take that one.
Its price was undoubtedly the most affordable and the one I could buy with what I had in my purse.
With all the helplessness and sadness in the world, I bought it.
I arrived home and prepared it and to my great surprise, when I uncorked it and poured it into the container, it gave off an exquisite aroma and when I tasted it, it was really a very pleasant flavor (I really liked it).
I am not going to tell you that it is better than the one I often buy, but I found it quite pleasant and the price is much lower than the others.
Sometimes we get carried away by appearances and do not dare to try new brands. Well, actually I was always opposed to buying that coffee because it did not give me any confidence, for being made in Socialism, however I got it, although I do not change it for the ones I use frequently.
I would only buy it as in this case, because I really did not have enough money to buy the usual ones.
So much for my little anecdote with a new coffee, I hope you never run out of coffee one morning when you wake up, it is very unpleasant. Greetings!
