Greetings, friends of Cinnamon Cup Coffee. Today I want to share with you a visit to a special coffee shop that I usually go to because it is close to home and in the area where I usually move every day. This coffee shop is a feminist-style space, and a few days ago I visited it again because they have two things I love: a good cold Americano and some chocolate truffles that I love, so the menu is better because coffee and chocolate is a perfect combination. So it was a nice morning, and I want to show it to you, because intimate, special spaces with good coffee, without a doubt, you have to share it.
RUDA is a coffee shop, store and bookstore located in the city of Medellín in Pasaje Cervantes. It is a cultural space surrounded by schools, restaurants, stores and a party atmosphere, a space that supports the marketing of products made by women, and it is a highly feminine environment; there are always many girls drinking coffee, beers and reading feminist literature, so it is a very nice place, sincere, simple, but very strong. It is also a café that on weekends has activities for the community, and it has become a reference for the community, and in the morning hours it is a very quiet environment, so what better time for a cold coffee and some truffles?
I love the name of this place, RUDA, because the original name is Ruta graveolens, but it is popularly called Rue, and it is a shrub well known for its healing properties, especially for menstrual cramps, as it helps with relaxation, so it is a beautiful name and shrub.
Interesting books, tarot readings, a good variety of Colombian coffees, beers, desserts and artisanal food, good music... what more could you ask for? I always come for an iced coffee; I love it neat, refreshing, and with lots of ice. Today I tried the chocolate truffles; they're new to the menu. I've always eaten vegetable empanadas, but I couldn't resist this little piece of delicious dark chocolate, so it was a sweet and refreshing morning.
A morning of running errands with my adventure partner (my dog), a refreshing and delicious cold coffee, an exquisite truffle, it couldn't be better.
And so my morning ends, happy and refreshed. Every time I finish a cup of coffee, I want another; I think it's a common thing among us coffee lovers. I hope to continue sharing my coffee trips with you.
