It's not that coffee makes me insomniac, it's that it makes me daydream.

The weekend that just passed I went for a walk with a friend, that day everything was idyllic. We found the perfect spot in the park to throw ourselves on the grass, a large shaded space was almost waiting for us even though the general atmosphere was scorching sun, with so much heat, the idea of a coffee did not cross my mind.
We lay there for a while, looking at the sky and talking about everything. We had no previous plans, we just agreed to meet and spend some time together. So we spent maybe a couple of hours looking up, dragging out an awkward conversation we had pending, but that finally flowed very well.
We decided to leave at the right time, without planning. We walked around the giant structure that shaded us for so long and almost as if in a dream it was time for sunset, we hurried up some large steps to better contemplate the moment.
It was very gratifying to see some people interested in witnessing such a beautiful spectacle, for me, enough people, not so many to feel relaxed and calm and just enough to feel that the world is not totally superficial.
It had been a long time since I had witnessed such a beautiful sunset, and we stayed there for the short time it took for it to disappear. It was exciting for my friend and me.
I was so engrossed in the sunset that when my friend took the next photo I didn't even notice. Then she shared it with me.
By that time, or a little before, a cool breeze started to blow and she suggested having a coffee to warm us up. So we calmly left the park and headed to a nearby bakery, pastry shop, pizzeria and coffee shop called La Cueva de Iria.
We ordered a pizza and due to the walk I had gotten hot so I decided not to order coffee but a cold juice, the truth is I would have liked both but since I was not the one who was going to pay the bill this time, I was embarrassed and decided only one thing.
First came the coffee and what a delicious coffee, she ordered it brown, sprinkled it with cocoa and added a touch of sugar, not too much.
I saw it, smelled it and my mouth watered, but I kept my composure until she told me to try it. My little eyes sparkled like when I watch the sunset and she, so cute she, went to ask for another coffee.... Maybe just to make me happy or maybe so she could enjoy hers properly.
I like my coffee very hot, so it didn't last long in the cup, I almost couldn't wait for her coffee to be ready.
It's the first time I've had coffee with pizza, I think, and it was all very tasty. Everything that day fit together perfectly, like in a dream that you write down, then you recreate it in your mind and then life gives you an extra.
Divine coffee in the late afternoon, definitely my favorite time to enjoy a coffee with a friend in a coffee shop because I find that it is a time when people are generally a little more relaxed from day to day affairs and I also feel that this time extends a little more, unlike the morning and noon that seems to run at a gallop.
What's yours? What is your favorite time of the day to have dinner with friends in a coffee shop?
Thank you for joining me. I wish you good health and a dignified life.
I took the photographs in this publication, with the exception of the third one.
