Being profitable is growing turkey chicken day by day. The unemployed youths of Naogaon are seeing the success of these chickens overseas. Meanwhile, six farms have been established in the district.
Besides, a woman has also succeeded in turkey farming in Nawabganj in Dinajpur. As the disease is less, the yeast is becoming more active in rearing these chickens.
There are 5 turkey chicken farms in various places of Naogaon. A baby turkey starts laying eggs after 6 months. Each chicken weighs between 5 and 8 kg. Demand is increasing as meat is delicious. So the unemployed youths are benefiting from commercial farming.
Arjuman Ara Begum of Nawabganj upazila of Dinajpur bought 100 farm turkeys in 28 years. Currently there are more than a thousand chickens on his farm. There are also arrangements for baby boating.
In Dhaka, Bogra, Joypurhat, Rangpur, pakers from different places of the country came to the farm to buy the baby.
Turkey disease reduces weed. It costs less to grow the chicken because of eating vegetables, garlic and grassy foods.
Livestock Officer of Nawabganj in Dinajpur district. Md. Nasirul Islam said that turkey chicken is beneficial for the heart because it contains beneficial fat.
Farmers, meanwhile, believe that profitable turkey chicken farming will play a major role in the country's economy.
