It's the last week of the holy month of Ramadan and then everything gets back to normal again. Here in Middle East life operates in a different way during this one month and with all dues respects I believe in giving respect to the law of the land that we live. If it does not suit us we are always free to leave. This one month in my Country all the restaurants remain shut till evening. They do home delivery of food but there is no dine-in. During the day time the city goes quiet and everything is on a slow pace. During evening once the fast is broken then the whole city comes to life. Nothing much changes except for that eating in public places is not allowed during this month.
Over the weekend me and hubby visited this place which is buzzing with the Ramadan vibe, and now that it's just 4 days more to go all the more everyone is gearing up for the final day celebrations. During this one month almost every restaurant in the town organizes buffet dinner daily for these 30 days, which is called as Iftar. The meal comprises of some of the local delicacies like Shuva, it is a meat dish which is cooked under ground in the sand. Has an amazing taste. I am not a fan of buffet meals so I avoid and prefer to go for À la carte meals only.
This place that we visited Al Mouj right now is glittering with lights and buzzing with outdoor dining. Each restaurant is having a unique decor matching the Ramadan theme.
What I want to highlight here are these beautiful hanging lamps.
After a nice stroll we too settled down at one of the Lebanese cuisine restaurant and I ordered my favorite Chicken Spinach Pie, which is the best of this place.
Overall a very pleasant evening
