This weekend we decided to spend somewhere away from the city. Right now due to the Covid situation where tourism is absolutely not there, all the resorts in the Country are offering great deals for staycations. The prices are reduced by more then 50% in some places. Like this particular resort where in normal times they would charge 100$ for a night, we got a deal in 50$ for 2 nights. That was a grab offer for sure, for the kind of place it is.
Bags packed and off we were on the road, it was an hour and a half drive, and soon we were there under the blue sky and near to the blue sea, the perfect location to spend the weekend.
The reception area is very cozy, it has a very fine decor. We were given a warm welcome with the traditional dates and Omani coffee.
The place is very lively with many activities happening all through out the day.
The room was nice and spacious, with a separation between the sitting area and the bedroom and there was plenty of room to move around.
I loved the balcony area, spacious and comfortable with recliners to rest.
And the view from our room was just to fall in love with.
After settling down in the room, I ordered some food, and at that time I heard some one playing Violin, I went to the balcony to see where the sound was coming from, and just right below my room a lady was playing it. She was so beautiful in her performance. It was a pleasure listening to her.
After a short nap, in the evening we went for a stroll and to see the property around. We hired a bike to go around the place. I must have sat on a bike after ages. In India sometimes I sit with my Son on his bike, but that has also been long. It was good fun.
Overall a wonderful time spent at the place.
The property is very big, next day morning we hired a cart and then went to the beach side.
Oman has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The only thing is that they are not made very commercial and in a way that is good because they are so well preserved with lesser people visiting. The day I will shift back to India permanently I am going to miss this part of my life a lot. While people spend 1000s of dollars to visit this type of places, here I have it all for free. It truly is a blessing to enjoy this nature and beauty and the environment.
They also had a bar and a pool near the beach side.
Weekend is over and now back to work, but I can keep lingering on to these memories and enjoy my week as well.
