If you are planning to visit Cebu. Do not forget to visit one of the famous beach Destination which is located in Bantayan Island , North of Cebu. The journey would be long but worth taking.
To get there:
You have to take a bus from the North bus terminal to Hagnaya port. The fare is 200 pesos for 5 hours of travel. It is a long ride so best to go early in the morning to avoid traffic.You could also take a van for 250 pesos. The advantage for taking a van is faster than the bus. But its not so comfortable since the legroom is small.Once you reached Hagnaya port , take a ferry to Sta fe Port.Then you can take a tricycle to your hotel.
For Good hotels .I would recommened the Amihan Beach Cabanas,Marlin Beach Resort, and Kota beach resorts . These beaches are close to the beach its expensive though. But, If you want a cheaper accomodation Cocou Bat hotel and restaurant. This hotel, is close to the town center
with many restaurants and a walking distance to the beach.
There are so many awesome things to do in Bantayan Island including white sand beaches, saltwater lagoons, mangrove boardwalks, cave pools, old ruins, skydiving, and island hopping, to name just a few.
I recommend spending at least 3 days on Bantayan to discover all of the best tourist spots and to get a real taste of the slow-paced island life here in North Cebu.
