Taking the long road home a road trip in my mind is an obvious must do, it is by far the best way to actually explore and take in the areas you are driving through!
This particular road trip was the one back to our holiday home in Cape Town, we took all the forgotten paths and back roads, stopping here and there to smell the flowers and enjoy the fresh country air.
Finding little birdies on the barbed wire fence and big bumble bees with their heads in the flowers were the highlights of our stops. Just take in that beautiful vastness of the country side!
Always stop to smell the flower along your way!

It is my reminder that even when things are tough, to just keep going!
