There’s something about driving through the countryside in eastern Canada that slows everything down.
Most days I’m out there with no real plan, just a camera, some silence, and open space.
Then it happens.
A weathered barn appears in the distance. Faded wood. Rusted roof. Alone in the field like a memory left standing. I always stop. Always stare. Always wonder.
Who built this? What stories does it hold? Is someone still looking after it, or has it been left behind?
These places feel so far from my city life, where everything moves fast. But these barns offer stillness. A quiet presence. A sense of time I can’t quite explain.
