This is Lena, my dear friend and a talented photographer. She took us on a kind of spiritual journey that day, leading us deep into the bones of an abandoned structure. It was a massive space, quiet, decaying, filled with forgotten objects and a strange, lingering energy.
We spent hours inside and out, shooting each other from every angle, experimenting with light, shadow, silence. It wasn’t about perfection. It was about presence. About capturing something that couldn’t be explained.
I took this photo while she leaned back, hair lifted by the wind, eyes half-closed in that in-between space, aware, but not posing. It felt like she was watching the world, and letting it watch her back.
Shot with my Nikon D40 and a 50mm lens. No edits, just instinct and trust.
