Golden Quarnero
Even thou I'm in Egypt and far away from home, here I'm situated in a small place called Dahab where's not much to shoot and I'm not visiting the famous Egyptian archeological sites cause I just want to rest, I'm scrolling back the photos in my camera and I'm finding much nicer shots of my ever inspiring homeland Croatia. I couldn't resist to publish it here but I promise more photos from Egypt will follow soon!
Anyway there's not much land in this wannabe landscape photo but sea is also part of the landscape so I consider it can fit the contest. The ships floating on it's surface are also part of the landscape where humans have intervene. In the distance, there is the land after all, between the shining sea and the cloudy sky, there's island Krk and Croatian land behind where on the top of the hill the windmills of Krivi put are visible... It was early sunrise from my window in Opatija looking East.
Quarnero in Italian is the same as Kvarner in Croatian. It's a bay in North Adriatic sea where I was born and raised. It's a real Heaven on Earth!
