This photo was taken in Argentina. The place is the Andes mountain range, close to the highest mountain in South America – Aconcagua ( 6.961 m.). It is located close to the Chilean border. The area offers beautiful mountain landscape and great hiking possibilities, besides hiking to the top of Aconcagua.
