This giant cactus is found in the Parque nacionales los Cardones in northwestern Argentina. We were on our way back for Cafayate to Salta, when driving through this national park. This is high-desert landscape with hills and ravines, but with snowcapped mountains in the background. When getting out of the car to take photos we noticed some of these giants were taller than us!
