This little guy is quite easy to spot because of the bright color appearance. Not sure why it would pick such a bright color, as it will easily reveal its position to the predator, but there are might be many reasons behind its adaptation and the reason why it picked this bright red color.
As we all know there are times when some animal in the wild chooses bright colors to show that they have some kind of scary defense system in their arsenal, which mostly consists of venom to deter the predator. and this might be the reason why this guy chooses this bight color. This is a very young stage of the Cotton Stainer bug, one of the bug that is considered a pest in the cotton farming industry.
For this week's macro photography contest, I will use the first image below as my entry.


Look at the color pattern that this little guy has, and how it has so much color contrast from the leaf it was resting on. It is so easy for its color to reveal its presence, isn't it? a bright little thing moving around the green leaf. It will raise so much suspicion. But hey they could survive, and it is how nature work
