In my opinion fire is something magical and I really like watching it burning especially when it is cold outside and I can heat myself up a bit with a wooden log burning in the fireplace. And It also has this very distinctive smell and noises that keep me relaxing very good. When I hear the cracking sounds of a fire burning at the fireplace I can relax especially good. The warmth that a fire like this produces is a very different warmth compared to a radiator. My parents always had a house where they heated with wood during the winter and with a tiled stove the heat usually stayed there for the whole night and the next day. When I buy a house or a flat in the future I also want a fireplace where I can burn wood to heat. It is such a gain in comfort compared to a radiator.
