On several holiday trips I visited a lot of different churches and most of them have a very beautiful ceiling and interior design. So many frescoes gold and colors. I also really like the colorfull windows that give a church a very nice lighting when the sun is shining through them. One of the most beautiful churches is the St. Peters Basilica in Rome. Alone because of it's enormous size it looks really spectacular. Unfortunately there was no tripod alowed inside the church so I had to take some pictures with a little higher ISO, to still be able to take some pictures without accidentially blurring them through movement. The next thing was that I was more or less pushed through the church by the following people and there was a steady flow of visitors that kept you pushing through the church. But still I was able to take some nice pictures of the inside.

I like it when I have some time to experiment with different exposure times and setting. This is easier in architectural photography like this because when doing wildife photography this is most of the time not possible since the bird/animal is too fast away or not in the perfect position anymore some seconds later. If you start experimenting in wildlifephotography it would often be too late and the animal / bird is long gone.

Not only in Rome you can find some beautiful churches also in Austria. This is the Mariendom in Linz and from the Inside you can see several nice glass windows with colorful glass sculputres. There are nice pictures non the walls and during summer if you need a cold place for some time it is a great spot to visit for some minutes.
