Today’s Tuesday — which means it was choir practice day for me, as usual. After work I headed straight to church. Luckily, it was a clement weather today, no rain, good stuff! 😅
I got there in no time, and had a bit of a wait while the others arrived. I wandered over to the Marian Shrine to pass the time. A typical Marian Shrine is usually surrounded by flowers, and this one wasn't any different. It has lots of beautiful flowers in different colors. Each one them, well-kept, just asking to be noticed.
Since I had some minutes to spare, so I figured, why not get busy? And I swung into action, capturing what I could.
And right there on the *Crown of Thorns' (Euphorbia milii) bracts, I spotted this tiny insect (Oecophylla longinoda). Without a second look, you'd think it belonged to the blooms. Apparently, it was there to feed on the organisms in the flower. Or is it also a pollinator?
Whichever it was, it made a perfect sight for a macro shot!
And macro shot it was. So, I tried capturing every detail: the pink - orange color of the blooms, the golden brown color of the insect and the greens surrounding the blooms. Nice combination.

Getting this shot was kinda tough. The insect wouldn't stay at a place, moving back and forth, shaking the flower. Even went under as if it was looking for its lost treasure. Lol.
The number of shots I took, the wait, patience... I almost lost it. Lol. Glad some turned out great. Photographing with a mobile phone ain't easy, I tell you. 🤦
