This is Azikiwe Road by Kent, Aba, Nigeria. This road was named after the Nnamdi Benjamin Azikiwe GCFR PC, the
third Governor-General of Nigeria and the first president of Nigeria during the First Nigerian Republic.
He was considered to be a driving force that propelled the nation's independence, which gave him the name - father of Nigerian nationalism.
Formerly Azikiwe road was a residential and official area but with the advent of the clothing material's market at Kent Street, traders began moving and expanding to Azikiwe road. Now it has become one of the busiest and commercial areas.
Here you will get all types of quality clothing materials ranging from - brocade, chiffon, satin, sample lace, damask, ankara, isi agụ (flannel), damask, bail materials, linen, polyester and the rest at affordable prices.
Except on Mondays that are observed as sit at home here and Sundays which of course is weekend, buyers come from far and near to buy clothing materials.
You can see traders carrying materials on their shoulders. These ones are mobile traders who do not have enough resources to pay for a shop so they resulted to carrying to go mobile - walking from one end of the market to the other displaying their wares and calling customer's attention. They usually make huge sales this way.

One unique thing about this street market is that it has opened up an avenue for new business like tailors / fashion houses, POS operators, airtime vendors, wheelbarrow and truck pushers, the food and snacks vendors, water and drink sellers, etc. Not only that, traffic is always busy as there are usually movement of people and wares there. This is economic development.
So whenever you are in Aba and you need to buy clothing materials, head over to Azikiwe Road by Kent Street
