On March 28, the Saturday before Palm Sunday, the 168th visit of the Sacred Image of the Divine Shepherdess to Barquisimeto came to a close with a procession that accompanied her through the city’s streets and avenues on her return to her sanctuary in the nearby town of Santa Rosa, from where she departed on January 14 and where she will remain until next year.

Although this event does not generate the same enthusiasm or draw the massive crowds of hundreds of thousands of faithful who attend the main event in January, many people, inspired by their faith and devotion, still attend this activity, which typically marks the beginning of Holy Week in the city.

As I have described before, I usually make use of the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed, in order to improve or highlight some element of my images.

El pasado 28 de Marzo, el sábado anterior al Domingo de Ramos, finalizó la Visita 168 de la Sagrada Imagen de la Divina Pastora a Barquisimeto, con una procesión que la acompañó por las calles y avenidas de la ciudad en su regreso a su santuario en la cercana población de Santa Rosa, de donde salió el pasado 14 de Enero y donde permanecerá hasta el próximo año.

Aunque este evento no cuenta con el entusiasmo y la gigantesca convocatoria de centenares de miles de fieles que asisten al acto principal en Enero, también suelen asistir muchas personas animadas por su fe y devoción, a esta actividad que suele marcar el inicio de la Semana Santa en la ciudad.

Como he descrito anteriormente, usualmente hago uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed, con el objetivo de mejorar o destacar algún elemento de mis imágenes.
