Les tortues marines sont très présentes à Mayotte. L'espèce prédominante est celle montrée sur cette photographie : Les tortues vertes. J'ai pris cette photographie dans le sud de l'île sur un site très connu nommé N'Gouja. Il s'agit là d'une phase de la journée d'une tortue durant laquelle elle se repose. En général, elle se repose durant la marée basse, moment pendant lequel en raison du manque d'eau, elle ne peut pas accéder au platier où se trouve sa nourriture favorite, l'herbier marin. Elle peut rester ainsi à se reposer sans produire d'effort durant deux sans respirer. ce sera mon entrée pour cette 132e édition du concours Wildlife de  Hive account@photofeed |
Sea turtles are very present in Mayotte. The predominant species is the one shown in this photograph: Green turtles. I took this photograph in the south of the island on a very well-known site named N'Gouja. This is a phase of a turtle’s day during which it rests. In general, she rests during low tide, when due to the lack of water, she cannot access the flat where her favorite food is located, the sea herbarium.
