Greetings, dear friends of the lens! Our Cuban countryside is generally characterized by these marvelous and exuberant palm trees; in fact, they are a national symbol. The aptly named "Royal Palm" stands out wherever it grows, its slender form making it a striking feature. Furthermore, it offers several benefits: its trunk provides the wood used to build houses in rural areas, and the fronds are also used for roofing. The fruit is highly prized as pig feed. It is a very beneficial tree; no painter would fail to include it in their work. It's impossible to leave it out; otherwise, it wouldn't be a Cuban painting.
This is what I meant; these are two paintings, and as you can see, they feature the protagonists of our countryside. In the last painting, we can appreciate typical rural life; this is how people live in the more rural areas of our country, Cuba.
