The first full moon of 2026 was on January 3rd. However, I took these photos on the evening of the 2nd, as it was already cloudy and I knew that the odds of clear skies the next day were very low. The clouds actually made it very poetic and beautiful, and still allowed me to capture the moon as much as I could. Really loved the outcome, and even took an evening walk even though it was cold, but it was just very beautiful and as if it wasn't night time at all.
How bad last year was is told by the fact that I only took a few of the full moons, and before that, as a big moon lover, I used to take photos every full moon that I had a chance. I didn't even see all the full moons last year. But this year I will try to capture all, if the weather allows me.
All photos are taken using Samsung S20 phone, no edits are done.
