Ulee Lheue is a coastal area with a shady sea in the Aceh Bay, located 3 kilometers with a distance of 10 minutes from downtown Banda Aceh.
When the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, the Ulee Lheue area suffered very severe damage. Residential houses, public facilities and many fallen trees were hit by the tsunami wave. I witnessed the devastation after the disaster.
Apart from the story of the disaster, this is the best spot to enjoy the sunset, on the Ulee Lheue bridge.
