Barbate date palm plantation is one of the largest date palm plantations in Aceh, covering an area of around 500 hectares planted with 11 thousand date palm trees. Barbate itself is a mountainous area that is part of Beurandeh village, Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency.
