The Indonesian Ministry of Information and Communication (Kominfo) held a digital television broadcast socialization at the North Aceh Regent's Hall, Friday (25/2/2022) night. The socialization that was packaged in the Pase art performance also showed a number of art attractions from the Cut Meutia Meulifo Studio, North Aceh in Lhokseumawe.
A lecturer in Communication Studies at the Malikussaleh University (Unimal) North Aceh, Masriadi Sambo, was one of the speakers at the event. According to him, the socialization of the migration of analogue to digital television in Aceh has been going on for the last two years.
“There is a mistake in society that digital television is considered paid. The second mistake is considered by the community that digital television broadcasts are via the internet," said Masriadi in a speech hosted by Malikussaleh University alumni, Intan Mutia.
Masriadi added that this understanding must be explained by the RI Kominfo and districts/cities to the public. On the other hand, the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) Aceh has conducted socialization for the west and south coasts of Aceh.
"We will enter the eastern route of Aceh in April," said Masriadi, who is also the Commissioner of KPI Aceh.
He hopes that people will soon switch to digital television. The advantages of digital television are advanced technology, clean picture, and clear sound. “On the other hand, this is good for the development of segmented television business potentials, such as campuses and Islamic boarding schools. This is a new business niche that the people of Aceh must explore,” he concluded.
Besides Masriadi, other speakers who attended the talk show were the Technical Coordinator of TVRI Banda Aceh Station, Yusril; and the Radio Frequency Controller of the Aceh Monitoring Center, Elok Berutu. []
Soal Siaran TV Digital Ini Penjelasan Dosen Unimal
Kementerian Informasi dan Komunikasi (Kominfo) RI menggelar sosialisasi siaran televisi digital di Pendopo Bupati Aceh Utara, Jumat (25/2/2022) malam. Sosialisasi dikemas dalam pentas seni Pase itu juga mempertunjukan sejumlah atraksi seni dari Sanggar Cut Meutia Meulifo Aceh Utara di Lhokseumawe.
Dosen Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Malikussaleh (Unimal) Aceh Utara, Masriadi Sambo, menjadi salah satu pembicara pada even itu. Menurutnya, sosialisasi migrasi televisi analog ke digital di Aceh sudah berlangsung sejak dua tahun terakhir.
“Ada kekeliruan di masyarakat, bahwa dianggap televisi digital ini berbayar. Kekeliruan kedua dianggap oleh masyarakat bahwa siaran televisi digital itu lewat internet,” sebut Masriadi dalam gelar wicara yang dipandu alumni Universitas Malikussaleh, Intan Mutia.
Masriadi menambahkan, pemahaman itu yang harus dijelaskan oleh Kominfo RI dan kabupaten/kota pada masyarakat. Di sisi lain, Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia (KPI) Aceh sudah melakukan sosialisasi untuk pantai barat dan selatan Aceh.
“April nanti kita masuk ke lintas timur Aceh,” kata Masriadi yang juga Komisioner KPI Aceh.
Dia berharap, masyarakat segera beralih ke televisi digital. Kelebihan televisi digital canggih teknologinya, bersih gambarnya dan jernih suaranya. “Sisi lain, ini bagus buat pengembangan potensi bisnis televisi yang segmented seperti kampus dan pesantren. Ini ceruk bisnis baru yang harus digali oleh masyarakat Aceh,” pungkasnya.
