Fungus growing on dead bark

This is a fungus that grows on dead bark. The shape looks unique on the jagged bottom surface. While the top surface is very slippery. But the flesh is very hard like wood.

It looks like this mushroom can not be consumed considering the very hard meat is not suitable for food. This mushroom is also very rare, unlike other mushrooms that grow on wood. This fungus also does not grow in groups.
