Another round of the insect captured is a tumbling flower beetle, a humpbacked bodied beetle that I just found sleeping on the leaf, I said sleeping because its eyes were totally closed or maybe it was hibernating before going back to look for food. I wish I could shoot this species with the eyes open, even I spent some minutes taking its pictures, its eyes remain closed. This species commonly lives on flowers and foliage, sometimes on dead trees and logs. Larvae occur in dead or dying hardwoods, in the pith of weeds, or in bracket fungi. The tumbling flower beetle (Mordellidae) stays under the family Mordellidae, in the order Coleoptera.
