Good day to you all my tutors and fellow learners on the hive.
Today is another day to appreciate our existence on the earth's surface. I have been quite busy to be able to accomplish my tasks on the hive Learners. I missed out on the last one for last week and the first for this week. But now I am happy to be fully back and active again. It’s time to rise again!!
Yeah, today I would be taking you all on a tour around my country. Getting you familiar with tourist attractions in my country and that way you can just find your way down to my country to have fun.
The first place I would like you to visit is the Olumo Rock
I am a native of Ogun state and which has its capital city located at Abeokuta. There are lots of places to visit in the state. Not to talk about other states. I toured too, I realized how cool it must have been when others made tours to visit the Olumo rock. I was opportune to have paid a visit to the Olumo rock and was able to get to the top of the rock.
It is so amazing to be there because when you get there you must have seen the whole capital city of Abeokuta. The rock has a height of 137 meters above sea level. There are caves in the rock as its history has it to be some hiding place for the villagers during the time of war.
The Olumo rock also has some reservations like the arts and crafts, fun games, and some other attractions too. One amazing fact about the Olumo rock is the friendly way the villagers would address you. They are always ready to give out the best they could to make you know more about the historical existence of the rock.
My tour down to the Olumo rock was fun-filled and I would say it’s just one of the amazing places to be in Nigeria which I can assure you.
Second tourist attractions
I would like you to pay a visit too is the University of Ilorin zoo and the water dam
The University of Ilorin is my alma Mata, the institution where I spent my 5years of educational career. It was an amazing time for me. There are places you must visit before you leave the University of Ilorin as a graduate.
The first is the university dam. The university waterfall is so amazing to see the full force of the water after trying to escape through the dam created. And also having a nice ride on the canoe is something you would never regret.
The university Zoo is also amazing, having its long skywalk and also the presence of some domesticated animals and wild animals too. The zoo was able to capture animals like lions, giraffes, chimpanzees, monkeys, ostriches, peacocks, snakes, jaguars, leopards, camels.com donkeys, horses, parrots, eagles, and some other creatures too.
My tour was a nice one and I'm sure you would always want to make another visit.
There are more tourist attractions in the country but I would like to limit it to where I have been and can say much about them. Places like the Osun-Oshogbo sacred house, the queen Amina statue, the yankari game reserve, the owu waterfalls, and many other places to be in the country which you would never regret visiting.
