Hello to all hive users 🤗❤️🙏
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your life🙂
Opinions hold immense significance in our lives. Broadly speaking, opinions fall into two categories: those we hold about ourselves, and those others hold about us. Often, these two sets of opinions align perfectly; at other times, however, they diverge completely. This discrepancy depends entirely on the mindset of the other person and the specific lens through which they view us. Every individual possesses a unique way of thinking; based on this perspective, they form judgments about us and construct a mental image of who we are. Similarly, your own opinion of another person is also shaped by your own mindset. These two distinct types of opinions often give rise to confusion regarding which one is ultimately correct. There are times when we find ourselves agreeing with another person's assessment of us, prompting us to wonder: Is their view truly accurate, or is my own perception the correct one? You have known yourself—intimately—since the very moment you attained self-awareness; another person, however, has known you only for the duration of your shared interactions—and even then, they know only as much as your conversations have revealed. Many people begin to judge an individual and form a fixed opinion about them after merely a few days of conversation. This initial opinion then becomes entrenched in their minds, and they continue to judge you solely through the lens of that preconceived notion; their entire perspective is anchored in the mental image they have constructed of you.
There is a vast difference between these two perspectives. Often, we are faced with the task of determining what is right or wrong; there are times when others perceive us as being in the right, while we ourselves feel we are in the wrong—and, conversely, the situation is often reversed. If you are grappling with confusion while making a personal decision, your first instinct is typically to turn to someone who knows you exceptionally well—this could be your parents, a close friend, or a relative. The opinion we form of ourselves is a process that unfolds over a considerable period of time, and it is also heavily influenced by the specific stage of life you currently inhabit. When we are young children and possess only a rudimentary understanding of the world, our perception of ourselves is quite different; however, once we reach a certain age—such as thirty—this perspective undergoes a transformation. This evolving self-perception is shaped by a confluence of factors: our life experiences, our successes, and our failures. Consequently, we gain a clear and accurate insight into how we truly view ourselves. It is precisely this self-awareness that reveals the nature of our lives, highlighting our strengths—what we excel at—as well as our limitations—what we are less adept at. Ultimately, every aspect of our being is grounded in and defined by this foundation of experience.
