Good evening everyone. I hope things are smooth for you. And I hope you're all having a very good day. Today I saw that the latest installments of the competition we have here is about having everything online. Now this is something that I can talk about. And I really want to. Being a student of computer science and actually spending more time of my day in front of his screen rather than with actual people on the outside, I have my different thoughts on this. And I say them as different because not the majority of people spend most of their time in front of a screen instead of meeting actual people. So people like us are actually in a different environment.
First, I want to address the obvious. And that is most people think that yes, everything should be online and we should not have to go anywhere or wait in line for anything physically. Well that sounds very convenient. At first, there are certain things that you should do in person. Yes, automation is the name of the game and people have always tried over the centuries to make life a little bit easier. And that is where automation and in turn taking everything online comes from my theory. Is that as long as you are taking necessary chores which can be done online, online, then of course it solves a huge problem and it saves a lot of time for a lot of people. But the way things are going, we are making everything online. Online. Even simple things like meeting people and making friends. Yes, I know that people have made a lot of very good friends over the air and through a Mike and headphones. But there will always be something different and actually meeting people in person and actually conversating with them both on a human to human level instead of through some radio waves. There is a reason why people of hours generation feel more disconnected from each other then the people before. Is because we simply don't go out much. We do not try to mingle with people around us and get to know them on a personal level. Emotion is what drives us. And we cannot understand emotion from a screen full of pixels. So to be truly connected to someone, you need to connect with them personally, in real life. So as long as you're only making things like doing taxes, paying bills, making purchases online, it is a convenience. But the moment you make simple humane stuff online, it simply takes the magic out of life. And life isn't meant to be that way. If it was it would have happened long ago. It didn't have to wait for all these thousand years to happen.
So yeah make everything online. All the things you need to do. All the chores you need to complete. Make them online. Save yourself some time. And use that time to make more connections with actual people in the actual world. The whole point of technology was to make people's lives easier, not to make an illusion of easy that takes away the very life from you.
