It is such a sweet deal and in face value just like someone mention in a comment of one of my post, it looks so attractive having your government security secure your life, properties at no cost financially.
Considering the fact that I am in a country where the rate of terrorism has now become so high and everywhere seems to be unsafe. One moment, there is peace and the next minute, the whole atmosphere is filled with news of killings, harming harmless citizens and the likes. The citizens crying to the government every day by day for absolute security to reduce the rate of terrorism to its lowest minimal rate.
In this kind of situation, getting an offer where you could actually sleep with all eyes closed, not panicking at the sound of anything sounding like a gunshot because you're sure it is for the security personnel and not bandits or terrorists, or having every of your move been monitored and you are sure that nothing could actually happen to you unnoticed or with no clue to how you would be saved because the government has it all in the tip of their fingers is such a sweet offer and deal to sign up for. But then, my privacy is at stake and in this kind of system that I am in as a country, it it worth it?
Considering what's at stake which is my life safety, I don't think privacy should be something to consider as a big thing not to allow the government penetrate into to ensure that I am safe. More so, it's not as if I have anything to hide or coach roach in my wardrobe like they would say.
What if I am at the edge of been threatened by someone who wants to hurt me, I'll humbly handover all my life details to the security agents, you know? Just so they can keep me safe.
However, I want to point out something of which I made the clause up there. If I were to be in a working system where crimes can easily be stopped and curbed at an instant and not putting the life of the victim(s) at risk then I won't be having problems with this deal but here in a country where the government is monitoring my movement every seconds and the criminal who committed the abduction, kidnapping, or killings can still be walking down the street of a place freely then it's not worth it and it is of no use.
Currently in my country, the government is not the reason why citizens are living safe as they are even the main cause why citizens lives are at risk. Everyone living their lives like tomorrow may never happen.
There are situations where crimes even happen close to where police stations are and even before the security personnel would arrive to intervene as close as they are to the crime scene, the criminals would have left and almost gotten to their hideouts before policemen would show up.
So definitely, giving access to my privacy to such government is just a waste of time and more risk to my life even more because amidst these government officials lies the people we call green snakes under the green grass.
They are security officials in the open to the public but in their closet and under the mask lies their faces doing something bad and treacherous as against to what they preach to the public.
In conclusion, I'll rather restrict the government of my country from my privacy than have them make me suffer in two ways because they have nothing to offer me.
