Goodevening hivers how are we all doing?. Hope we had a great weekend. I am delighted to be able to participate in today's creative Sunday. Today i helped my daughter in her creative art assignment.
It's not like the other difficult creative work where they would be asked to draw a butterfly or an elephant. This one was much more easier and lots of fun too. By the way , have you ever wondered why teachers give these children works that the parents end up doing? Were they actually expecting the children to undertake that difficult task or are the parents the actual target of such assignments?. Take a look at this one, tell me how a six years old would have done this?. Ofcourse i did it by myself. So creative right?.
It was a whole lots of struggle and as simple as this looked it took me three good hours to get it done. Imagine if it was done by a six years old. Well, it was obvious that parents are their target and that is completely unfair considering what we have to pass through out there while hustling for money only to be given school work.
Not funny atall.
When i opened this message from Zizi's teacher i was a little relieved because it's a simple creative art and we would have loads of fun doing it. Like the child will actually participate in the creative process not just me.
First of all, i listed out what we would be needing and they are.
- An A4 paper
- An paint colours
- Water
I went to the supermarket to buy the paint colours and there are many varieties. I picked a box with six paint colours making sure that the desired colours needed for the art are there ; red, blue and yellow.
My daughter was so excited to get started and i think that's how exactly home works and assignment should make one feel. Well but the reverse is the case, that's why some kids hate going to school.
First we put a little of each colour of the paint into a small container and dilute them with water because they were so thick.
I careful applied a generous amount all over my daughter's palm and she carefully placed her palm on the A4 paper.
- She washed her palm and i applied another colour paint on her palm and we repeated the same process untill
all three colours are sitting pretty on the A4 paper.
- Set it apart for about five minutes to dry.
It was not as simple as it looked thou because we encountered some mistakes over and over that we kept repeating over and over in order to produce a good and neat work. We were also lucky that the paints were not so difficult to wash off if not that would have posed another problem of it's own.
I may have titled this post the simplest creative Sunday but actually it's never as simple as it looked.
You might be thinking, but this is your daughter's work, ohh yea but the main work are done by people behind the camera.
