There are still many types of customs in our society, but the most hated custom in our society is the dowry system. It is through this that a woman is trafficked and this custom is still going on in our society. This custom has been going on in our society since the past and it has not been possible to stop this custom yet. It is a criminal offense to give and take and legal action has been taken but it has not been possible to stop this . In the past, dowry was taken in public, but now it is taken in secret. For this reason it is not possible to take any legal action. To stop this we all need to be aware and stand up against it.
In our society, a woman and a man have equal rights. However, when a girl is given in marriage, the girl's father has to pay dowry and because of this the girl's father has to face various problems. This is very bad for those who are poor in our society and many times a father has to sell all his property to pay the dowry. He also has to pay for all the savings in his life. In this way he has to face problems in future. A boy's life can never be self-sufficient without a girl and to fulfill his life he has to get married and he needs a life partner. From this it is understood that girls are needed in our society and they have equal rights. So there is no need to pay dowry
This is very shameful and this is one of the most disgusting custom to me. In order to stop this custom, first of all we have to make the girls of our society aware and awaken the values of the girls.
