I was super excited to write about the contest topic on the hive learners blog spot. The topic is basically what I would not do even if offered a million dollars.
Wow, a million dollars? That is a lot of moneeeyy. You know in some animations where a head blinded with dollar sign pops out on a page, yes, that was the image that popped out in my head when I saw a million dollars.
Even though, it is a lot of money and would really go a long way, a very long way to achieving my dreams. There are some things I would never do if I am offered that whooping sum of money or even more.
I so much enjoy my piece of mind and I can not trade it for anything.
People engage in different kind of things, the good , the bad and the worse kind of things to get money. But please o, I do not have that mind. What is the point of having a lot of money with no peace of mind.
Or causing some people pain just for the sake of enriching my pocket, because, I so much believe in the law of Karma. This makes me wonder if those people that do all bad things to make money if the are aware of that law. It is what you so you reap, that is why sometimes I do not pity people because it might be a payment for a bad act they mightvhave committed in the past.
Let us have a list of what can not do for a million dollars. At least the ones I can remember at the moment.
First, I can not kill someone for a million dollars. You know in the world we are, people get paid to kill a fellow man, we call them hired killers. From the movies I watch, these people collect a whooping sum of money to terminate people's life. That is super scary to me because, I can not kill a fowl, let alone a human being.
Secondly, I can not kidnap or hold someone at ransom for a million dollars. Although, this is a cool business for some people nowadays. It is a big deal in Nigeria now, threatening the security state of the country. Kidnapping people's family and demanding a huge ransom as a condition for their release. Some could not afford to pay the ransom and the hostage ends up getting killed. Luckily for some, they escape.
Can you imagine how sad and miserable this act can some families. All in the name of making money. That is terrific.
Thirdly, I can not defraud or scam someone else of their money. Even if the way the person made his or her money is not legit or legal, it is totally none of my business. It is between the person and Karma. It is not an ideal thing to do. Some people see it as being smart. Using their smartness in a negative way, causing people heart ache.
All these acts are bad and always have negative consequences either from the government or from life itself. By the time the repercussion is down on the person, they will wish they never did it, leaving them with a lot of regrets.
So what is the point in the first place.
