The Newbies initiative program on hive has been an eye opener for me since I applied, until I was selected and all through the training program. And I want to give kudos to the brain behind the initiative 
Before the training proper, the program started with activities that made we the applicants to get to know ourselves and getting a partner for each week and writing a post about our partner for the week.
That was the first aspect that made us to know each other not just by username but on a friendship level.
We played games on the discord channel which helped us to bond and appreciate ourselves.
When the newbies initiative program started properly, in October, the first lesson we had was on setting our hive goals which I did with so much enthusiasm and passion for success.
Now, to the task of the day.
NEWBIES TASKS
1 Go back to your task 1, check the goals you made and recount those goals, see how you have performed. Did you smash those goals? Tell us why and how.
My goals were based on Creating quality contents, Engagement, increasing my HP, Reputation, and followers.
I tried as much as possible to always create quality and relatable contents which helped my HP and I also engaged with other users as well which increased my comments and followers.
I couldn't smash all my goals for the last three months based on some personal challenges I faced during the time, but I have made up my mind to do better next year, God helping me, which is part of my 2024 goals.
I couldn't smash all my goals but I made tremendous progress.
2 How was your experience in the newbies initiative, what do you have to say about it?
To be honest, the newbies initiative is a great initiative program that helps newbies like me to understand and know more about the hive blockchain. I can say it vividly how much it has exposed me to things I may never be able to find out on my own and I'm really grateful for that.
The program has helped me to meet more people and make friends with them, both newbies and all, it has helped me to understand the difference between a comment and engagement and the advantages of engagement
From this program, I've been able to understand and make use of the Canva app to create my own thumbnails and designs anytime I want to. I've also been able to understand what markdown is about and how to make use of it when creating my post.
The initiative has exposed me to the various tokens, how to acquire them, what I could do with them and so much more about tokens. I've learnt a whole lot about Hive and I'm grateful for the opportunity given
to me to be a part of it.
3 If you were to contribute one thing to make the newbies initiative perform better, what do you think you can do?
If I were to contribute one thing to make the newbies initiative perform better I think that would be improving on the timetable. I will work more on this because I believe this initiative is getting bigger and better so timing must be prioritize. The course outline should be drawn and timely followed. Apart from network issues, meeting time must start and end at the appropriate time, the task must drop at the appropriate time and date, and the deadline must be strictly adhere to. This is the area I will love to contribute to.
