Nicknames are given to people irrespective of where you come from,the nicknames given has everything to do with whatever people see you doing or maybe how you look like or how you behave. I don't really give people nicknames,I only call you name I hear people calling you,but I have friends that do that even till now,they just look at people and give them names,there is lady in my department that is called pos, another one grandma,alot of nicknames like that.

This names was given at different points in time,when I was in jss1 to jss3,I was given crayfish and dryfish,it's so annoying, like very annoying,I will tell people not to call me that Name then but they won't listen,they said I was too thin then, like I was very thin,no back,no front,even my stomach is as flat as a stainless steel, like I don't know why I was so thin then, back then I didn't know I was very thin like that until when I left secondary school and then I started checking all the pictures I snapped in secondary school days especially jss class,I now realize my classmates were right but they have no right to call me crayfish or dryfish,I hate those nicknames then,it was disrespectful.
I had alot of experiences back then in secondary school,I always have nicknames everytime,I can't remember everything but anytime I do anything like this ,I will surely be given a nickname,it was really something I got used to even though I don't like it,it has really changed now,I don't have nicknames anymore except you want to call me by the name of my brand,I won't even take it lightly with them if they give me one useless nickname.
Now I'm not saying nicknames are bad,there are alot of people bearing the nicknames they want like manquine,the guy is in my department and that's what he wants people to call him,I don't even know his real name and I'm very sure most people don't know his real name too but we all call him manquine because that's what he wants, another one is mavas,that's the nickname he gave himself and throughout the school that's what they know him as,he is very popular, people don't really know his real name except we in his department,so I can say there are some good nicknames that people like for themselves, they won't get angry if you call them that name but if you call me the name I don't want,I will really get mad at that person.
Another nickname I was given that I actually liked was derby county,they gave me that nickname because my name is debby, I love that name,and I was given that name because of one football club in England,they said the name is derby county, so I love the name, that's the only name I love back then.
Nicknames are good when it's a great one but it actually a nickname to abuse someone or a kind of nickname regarding the disability of someone I despise such things,it's very wrong.
