Last session, we discussed the topic:
Is a Degree Still Worth It
Controversial topic since many of us got a university degree and in the end, employment wasn't guaranteed. We discussed how a degree doesn't guarantee you will be rich, and even a job sometimes. The community members brought their experience about the topic. To be rich most of the time is achieved through jobs that don't require a degree, but many times happiness can be found while working in something that we were trained for. Society still need people working in jobs that require degrees, but it doesn't mean that it will pay good enough for a comfortable life.
THIS WEEK'S TOPIC:
BEAUTY OF LIFE
Life is beautiful, one of the statements we must have heard. But the things happening in the world; wars, diseases, disasters, insecurity, economic hardship, violence, social vices and the like, can make one doubt that reality.
Yet, when we look at our lives and the world as well, we can point to some beautiful elements in life. Those things that can put a smile on our faces and make us really say, life is beautiful.
Discussion Questions:
- Is life really beautiful or is it just a chaotic world we're in?
- Have you ever doubted the beauty of life? Why, if you did?
- What do you look at or consider and you see the beauty of life?
- Do you think the chaos in life is necessary to make us realise or recognise its beauty?
