Hello there! It is great to see you again.
Last session, we discussed the topic:
Income Inequality and the Need for a Wealth Cap
In our last session, we discussed about the wealth gap between the rich and the poor if a solution known as a wealth cap can be functional. This means that limit should be set to how much a person can accumulate. Each speaker shared their opinion on this; its impact, challenges or drawbacks and possible alternative solution that best fit to solving the problem.
THIS WEEK'S TOPIC:
Parental Control or Platform Responsibility
In the generation we live today, children now have easy access to a lot of online content, some of which can be harmful. This raises the question, Who does the responsibility of protecting children from inappropriate content lie? Should it be that of the parent to always monitor the activities of the kids online or the platform's duty to set strict regulations on the contents available online. Let us share our thought with the help of the questions below:
- Which side do you think the duty for protecting the child from harmful online lies on the most?
- To what extent are parents responsible for monitoring the online presence of their children? Are there any benefits or drawbacks?
- What about that of the platforms, what role do they serve here?
- How can both sides work together in the regulating contents of children?
