Hello everyone, you're welcome to my blog today.
At what point in life do we sit back, relax, and go through our decisions to assess our achievements? We all are different; we take life in different ways. But anyhow, we need to deal with the problem of the loads of work and everything. It's all about how you handle the pressure and everything. Many people find ways to relieve their stress, either by doing meditation or finding something that helps them distract easily. We all need a break from our constant thoughts that make us feel more pressured.
Life is a never-ending circle that continues on and on. Men and women work round the clock to keep body and soul together, to meet the standards of the economy and to live up to their expectations. Responsible leaders take care of their families and stand out in society. There's never a particular time stipulated for one to sit down and think about life in general, to review their decisions—career-wise, family, marriage, and all around.
Self-evaluation or personal assessment is very vital in the life of every man or woman who is looking to succeed in the future. This is the point where you can sit down and go over the decisions you have made regarding your life, your business, your career, your family, and your social life. Here are things to consider while doing a self-evaluation:
Restrategizing your goals: Go through the goals that you set for yourself in the past to ensure you have achieved most of them, especially certain SMART goals that are achievable.
Focusing more on decisions than matters: Work based on needs and not wants, ensuring that you do only things that are important and not just those that are wants.
Assessing personal growth: Look out for how you have developed yourself—what areas need enhancement, what you are lacking, and where you should put in more effort.
Self-appraisal: Review your achievements and reward yourself for little wins. This encourages you to work harder next time to achieve more.
It is very important to always find time to sit back, relax, and review our achievements. This helps us balance equations and make better decisions in life.
People may not say it out loud, but deep down, they are afraid of silence. And I am not talking about the usual late-night silence or when the environment is quiet. I mean the deeper kind of silence—the silence when someone purposely decides to lock in and hear their own thoughts out loud, like when you can hear the ticking of a clock.
At some point, I ran away from this too. All my free moments used to be filled with one distraction or another—from music to scrolling, watching movies, chatting, or anything that could distract me. But when I looked at the past, my realization was that I was running. Not from anything external in particular, but from what was sitting quietly inside me.
My quiet time isn’t occasional but a daily routine. It's a consistent practice. It’s a moment I deliberately and intentionally set aside to study and meditate on something important and necessary for me—the Word of God. Doing this has become a rhythm in my life, something I always love to return to, no matter how busy life gets.
Thank you for stopping by my blog.
