Content creation something that we have come to know for a very long time most people went into content creation during the covid-19 pandemic which happened in 2019/2020. One good thing about content creation is that if you make good and quality contents are being paid but it doesn't get happen overnight it takes efforts patient and hard work and creativity to achieve what you want.
This is my entry for #hivelearners weekly contest edition 1 and the topic is (MONETIZATION)
Monetization is simply means the ability to make money from something right now we're looking at content monetization is it all contents that should be monetized and what exactly is content monetization.
Convert monetization has to do with someone working with a platform that when you post your content you get paid and we have so many of this apps where content monetization happens. Some of them are WhatsApp ,Facebook ,Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram tiktok and so many others that I can't mention here.
Some contents supposed to be monetized there are a lot of things going on in the world currently especially with the gen z. Most of the time when you open tiktok which is a popular app for content creators the first thing that hits you is a young lady dancing almost half naked exposing her body and and you see this person getting so much engagement and traffic yes their contents had been monetized and they are paid but come to look at it is it worth it opening up your body to the public just for the sake of monetization.
People have taken extreme measures because they want their contents to be monetized, in my own opinion I believe that only contents which are of high quality and educative should be monetized.
I'm not saying that I don't like the dance challenge everything that is happening yes the people that do it and they do it respectfully ,fully dressed because we have kids these days that go online without parents supervision and there is exposed to a lot of negativity scam asexual harassment online.
Content monetization is also a platform for people to make content out of their business ,people who do hairdressing, who do baking, fashion designing and a lot of other skills and cooking classes too ,people learn from them because they give out knowledge and their contents deserve to be monetized.
Qualification shouldn't just be about the platform it should be about the quality of the content and the intentions behind the content this will help a lot of people who are trying to be monetized will sit up and be disciplined knowing that if they don't work according to the rules they will not be monetized. Now they will understand you don't just get verified by buying subscription to be monetized , you have to work for it .
And some of these apps do not pay attention to what users post on their pages to ban them or make them never access monetization. Currently right now a lot of people are trying to monetize their Facebook so many people have left their physical jobs only to focus on content creation. Because they want to be paid in dollars and so on thereby inculcating laziness in people and making them to be glued to their phone screens.
Content monetization is good yes that should bring not be the reason why we should live off our physical work for me I'm a content creator yes I will also have something else that generates income for me. If this apps decide to fold up one day all those who depend on the will go bankrupt.
And yes emphasis on not all contents should be monetized ,content should be monetized according to their quality and the intentions behind the content this will instill discipline in the users to know that there is a procedure for you to pass through to get the monetization you can't just buy it or get it anywhere.
